    Location & Studio Photography

There are two ways we can schedule a session - on location or in the studio. There are pros and cons to both, so I'll highlight a few. Read below and contact me to discuss which option is best for you.

Location Photography - This is when I get out of the studio (a major plus for me) and meet you at a location of your choice. Obviously, weddings would fall under this category. Location photography is also preferred for newborn shoots because a two-week-old is going to be more comfortable at home...and so is mom! Location photo shoots can be inside your home where I bring props and backdrops to you, or they can take place outdoors.

(Here is a newborn shot taken in the client's kitchen...just steps away from her pack 'n play changing table.)

Outdoor Location Photography is ideal for high school seniors, engaged couples and families. There are too many beautiful places to name here, so call me to discuss which location would be right for you. Obviously, a downfall to outdoor shoots is the unpredictability of Mother Nature, but I'm always ready for Plan B!

(I met this beautiful couple at Keeneland...one of my favorite places...for their engagement shoot.)

Studio Photography - This is when you come to me at my studio and we use lighting and backdrops to create more classic portraits. These sessions are nice for high school seniors and young children. The studio is nice because we don't have to worry about the weather. It is also nice for seasonal and specialty shots where custom backdrops can be utilized. (Christmas, First Birthdays, Easter)

(This lovely young lady met me at my studio for some interior shots after her outdoor session.)
